As part of her healing, SHAYLA not only marks Regina’s book release, but the process to complete the pages within, became a Release unto itself for the author.
SHAYLA is her way forward to finding peace, happiness and closure.
SHAYLA is author, Regina LaFrance’s sharing, and hope, for others who may have been molested and suffered from abuse. Passionate in her perseverance and resolve of this issue, Regina speaks to the realities of child sexual abuse—escalating at an alarming rate. Her intention for writing this very personal book is to increase awareness. SHAYLA is her public outcry, especially to parents raising children; in her mission to identify when a child is in fear of speaking up. And to prevent the unthinkable from happening to our precious young and innocent, as it happened to her. Too young. Too unfathomable.
Her story.
Her sharing.
Her ultimate letting go.
To be free from pain, shame and suffering.
SHAYLA is about finding the path to Healing. This process is powerful on its face—the tell-all reveal where for some, it’s hard to miss the pain they have endured written on their face. Everyone heals differently and shows it differently. The process forward is never a straight one. Though making the first step is where it all starts. It takes strength, courage and belief in one’s triumph to overcome and become greater than their darkness. Anyone on the road to healing, their impending recovery, can be called a true survivor, if not a hero, for simply doing the work. For the survivor, their walk is never alone. When that glory day comes for those fortunate to experience it, to be truly healed, it’s like a symbiotic event—that bolts to the Universe, signifying one’s victorious declaration. And in turn, the Universe reverberates that bolt back to the beneficiary with even more illuminated healing.
If you have been the victim of abuse, exploitation, or neglect, you are not alone. Many people care and can help. Please tell your doctor, a friend, or a family member you trust.
